Whoop whoop! Bergens Tidende just named us the best ice cream bar in Bergen. We're just really glad they got what we're trying to do in this city; that this mad, slightly ironic idea of ice cream and cocktails in a forty-square metre space in Norway's rainiest city is an idea worth pursuing. Is til folket and big ups to every single person who's supported us since day one!
Vorspiel, part one
In our minds, Hallaisen is an ice cream and coffee shop by day, and a little cocktail bar by night. For the latter part of our ambitions, our good friend Matt Cowen came by from the UK for a bit of bartending and a lot of cocktail fun.

She Fah and May's first encounter with Matt was at a fancy underground cocktail-and-cigar bar in Kuala Lumpur, where Matt spilled a drink on May and made a lasting impression. Several years of friendship, drinks, and card games after, we have come together again to create cocktail evenings worth remembering in Bergen.
